I am Professor Ellie Highwood, an atmospheric scientist, and I am passionate about giving children the opportunity to discover the fun of practical science. I believe all children should have these opportunities; access to science should not be determined by family income, educational setting, gender, race or conventionally measured intelligence. Everyone should also know that science is for everyone and for everyday – not just geniuses with crazy hair and sandals.

Professor Ellie’s Lab allows me to collect together the work I do with schools and community organisations under one label and one not for profit organisation dedicated to bringing science to children and their parents, and working with primary teachers to build skills and confidence in practical science.
